We headed out late Friday night and made a quick pit stop in Fillmore at Costa vida.
We pulled into St. George late and made another stop at Iceberg for shakes. Before we checked into the hotel we tried to go up to Dixie Rock but were stopped by a cop before we could even take a few steps past our parked cars. Nothing screams St. George more than bored cops busting a bunch of BYU students.
Saturday morning my parents were super heroes and made us a stellar pancake breakfast. After that we headed out to the trailhead.
Sidenote: my dad is really cool. When I say really cool I mean pretty much the best dad anyone could ever have. He led us the entire hike and we wouldn't have made it without him. The hike was about 10 miles and most of it was unmarked trail. There were so many sweet overlooks. I think all of our favorite part was feeling like we were really paving our own trail.
When we eventually made it to the final overlook we were all pretty stoked, sweaty, and tired. Good news, the final view was awesome.
The best of friends

best group around.
We ended the night at Five Guys (before we headed out). I can't get over how fun this trip was. Nothings better than being outside with all your best pals. and dad.
view of my hometown. i'm a pretty lucky girl.
