St. Stephens Political Map of the World

After our weekend in Jinja rafting The Nile we came back to Mbale ready to work. Brad and I had planned a day-long activity with our group to get them more acquainted to what it will be like working with local partners. We contacted the headmaster of St. Stephens and he agreed to let us come and paint in one of their main classrooms. After a full day of cleaning, taping, sketching, and painting we were pretty tired and proud of our finished product. The best feeling was seeing the grin on the headmasters face as he viewed the mural. He teaches geography and knew how much this would help his students as it has now become a visual reference for him. I also loved hearing about how he later received many phone calls of the students parents who were excited about it/had heard about it and wanted to call and have him thank us. Overall it was an awesome first day of work. I love my team.
